In Construction!Richard

I am Richard Henrik Lodström and dad has to write this for me because I am in kindergarten and have just learned the alphabet, but not how to write. I can write my first name. I enjoy playing soccer, but I don't like it when the girl team beats us. On the passport picture above, the one Dad call "The Pudding Picture", we were about to visit Sweden for a few weeks in the summer. No wonder I look worried, who have not heard of the taxes they have there?

If Philip can build LEGO-space ships in the tub, so can I!

Already when I was a little over two years old I could hold the balance on my little two wheel bicycle. I did not use the pedals, but scooted along using my feet on the ground. I put many miles on this bike!

(Lost this pic! Check in soon again!)

Now, to the scary part:

Here I was just 5 years old, so I did not know danger!

Now I am almost 6. How time flies!

We 5-year olds can actually dive as well as the 9-years old, but don't tell Philip! I can even dive to the bottom of the pool, 8 ft, and pick up golf balls and LEGO pieces. Who put them in the pool anyway?

The other day I built this space car. They need cars in space too.

When is dad going to put the motors and the batteries in this car?

The other day we rescued a bird that had fallen out of the nest. Lindsay climbed all the way to the upper pen, but the nest was by the lower pen. I was directing the operation from the ground. They could not have done it without me. It is me, there at the bottom. I looked away for a moment and Dennis stepped on a small branch and fell to the ground. He got some bruises. This is a difficult tree to climb.

I live close to school, so I walk, but here are the buses some of my classmates ride.

Why do they not build smaller buses for us kids?

Here is my friend and neighbor Jake. He is clever and very nice.

I just love going fishing! Sometimes we go out on a boat, but this time we fished from the pier here in Ventura.

Here my older brother Philip shows me how to catch the big ones.

Now I am six years old, and a month. I have started school, first grade.

My uncle just got married. They had me dressed up for the wedding. I think girls like this more than boys. Can you believe it, this girl is eight years old! They are small! It was very warm this day, and standing in the sun with a black suit did not help. I managed to work out a nice LEGO set in return! One has to know how to play ones cards!

Dad just got some more pictures of me. I like these:

I got a rash on the belly because first I went down the slide when it was dry!

Above I am taking a well deserved little nap after school with Doggie-doggie. I made up his bed with a towel and another one for pillow.

On the left I am on my way down deep for some golf balls and LEGO pieces.

A new cat joined the family a few weeks ago. He is not fully grown yet and he is very kind. Mammy named him Gromit

I did not know that dad wanted to keep this tree…

Today (Jan 4) I lost my first tooth. I could feel it wiggle and yesterday I almost lost it. Several other teeth will soon follow!

Dad thought this was a Peacock bird from Planet Zork! He does not recognize a space ship when he sees one!

Here I am training shooting at inanimate objects like dad's car and the horse on the wind indicator on the roof.

…then I built a service station for space cars…

Some time ago I got a nice pocket knife from Mom and Dad. With it I carved out this little carrot car! Mom and Dad was very impressed, but I think nothing about it. After a few days it had dried up and cracked. Carrots are not a good material for cars.

In another month and a half I will be 7. Then it is only 10 years left until I can drive my own car.
